Swan Hellenic Announces Cultural Cruise Focused on Food & Wine

Swan Hellenic has announced its first-ever cultural expedition cruise with a focus on food and wine. Launched in partnership with Champagne Castelnau, the nine-night “Legacy of Wine – An Atlantic Voyage” will sail from Portugal to Brittany. Guests can enjoy paired tastings, gourmet dining and gastronomic excursions guided by Master of Wine Keith Isaac and Michelin-star Chef Heribert Dietrich.

Departing from Lisbon on May 12, 2025, and calling at Leixoes (Oporto), Ferrol, Santander, Bilbao, Lorient, Roscoff, Saint-Malo and Honfleur on its way to Portsmouth, the “Legacy of Wine – An Atlantic Voyage” will explore historical and cultural sites. The experience will include visits to vineyards and producers of local delicacies, combined with daily opportunities to savor food and wine showcasing the terroir and winemaking traditions of each region.

Master of Wine Keith Isaac, general manager of Castelnau Wine Agencies, will guide the wine tastings and accompany guests throughout their voyage, offering insights drawn from his 36 years of industry expertise. The tastings will range from premium port and champagnes to Rioja, Ribera del Duero, ciders and calvados.

Guests will also have the opportunity to mingle with Chef Heribert Dietrich, a member of JRE and the recipient of 16 Gault & Millau points, plus a Michelin star.

Each evening aboard, Dietrich and Isaac will join forces to create a celebration of wine and haute cuisine, bringing guests skillfully curated pairings in an ocean-view setting. This crescendo of signature dishes, each displaying the creativity for which Chef Dietrich is renowned, will culminate in a Gala Dinner towards the end of the voyage.
