UnCruise Adventures Announces Return of Wilderness Adventurer

UnCruise Adventures has announced the return of the Wilderness Adventurer for the 2025 season. Recently refreshed under the guidance of CEO and Founder Captain Dan Blanchard, the 60-guest vessel is back by popular demand to accommodate the "overwhelming interest" in UnCruise’s “Glacier Bay Adventure with 2 Days in Glacier Bay” itinerary. Many 2025 departures have already sold out, prompting the reintroduction of the classic ship that will now set sail alongside other fleet favorites.

Measuring 160 feet in length with a 39-foot beam, the Wilderness Adventurer has been revitalized to elevate the onboard experience. Key amenities and features include: the EZ Dock kayak launch platform for seamless water excursions; a bow-mounted underwater camera to catch a glimpse of marine life; kayaks, paddleboards, inflatable skiffs and snorkel gear/wetsuits; an on-deck hot tub and fitness equipment/yoga mats; an onboard movie and book library; and an open bridge policy to foster conversations with the captain.

Together with the Wilderness Discoverer, the Wilderness Adventurer will sail the seven-day “Glacier Bay Adventure Cruise with 2 Days in Glacier Bay” all-inclusive itinerary, round-trip from Juneau. This route goes beyond a simple sightseeing tour of Alaska’s famed glaciers, offering an expedition-style experience. Highlights include:

  • Two full days in Glacier Bay National Park, offering up-close encounters with iconic glaciers, including Margerie, Grand Pacific, Reid and Lamplugh Glaciers
  • Anchor overnight in the wilderness of Glacier Bay
  • Spend two full days exploring inside Glacier Bay
  • Hike, kayak, paddleboard and skiff tour inside Glacier Bay
  • Whale and dolphin watching in Frederick Sound and Icy Strait
  • Birding and sealion sightings at South Marble Island
  • All-Inclusive itinerary includes all meals, beverages (including alcohol) and expert-led excursions
  • This cruise is 100 percent within Alaskan waters, eliminating the need to spend three or four days sailing the open North Pacific Ocean from Seattle or Vancouver and back, as foreign ships are required to do
