AIC Hotel Group has announced the expansion of its UNICO brand into the UNICO Hotel Collection. New destinations will include Puerto Vallarta in Mexico and Montego Bay, Jamaica. This expansion follows the seven-year success of UNICO 20°87° Riviera Maya.
With the introduction of new hotels, guests can expect the signature service and amenities that define the UNICO brand, including a focus on local culture and experiences. The UNICO Hotel Collection will continue to offer distinctive cuisine, mixology, art, wellness, fitness and curated adventures designed to connect guests with the region’s culture.
The first property in the expansion, UNICO 20°105° Puerto Vallarta, is set to open in fall 2025. Located between the waters of Banderas Bay and the Sierra Madre Mountains, the boutique hotel will have 141 rooms and a design that combines warm tones, vibrant color accents and spacious, airy layouts. The hotel will also house a rooftop pool, offering views of Banderas Bay.
UNICO 18°77° Hotel Montego Bay, on the other hand, will have 451 rooms when it opens. All guestrooms will have direct ocean-views; semi-private swim-up pools will be available on all ground-floor rooms, while outdoor "hydro spa tubs" will be included with all remaining rooms. Double rooms will have two king beds, a first in the destination. Accommodations also include an in-room mini bar stocked by guest preference, a Nespresso coffee machine, free hi-speed Wi-Fi, 24-hour room service and more.
