Hotel Continental, which dates to 1948, has officially reopened as Miami Beach’s first Tapestry Collection by Hilton property. The newly remodeled five-story, 100-room hotel was purchased by Spot On Ventures for $44 million and is managed by Highgate.
Located in the trendy Mid-Beach neighborhood, Hotel Continental Miami Beach is part of the historic Collins Waterfront Architectural District. Guests are steps from the beach, Miami’s waterfront boardwalk and a host of world-class restaurants, nightlife, shops, and art and cultural institutions. The Miami Beach Convention Center is less than two miles away, making the hotel well-suited for business travelers, too.
The hotel now sports 100 newly renovated single and double rooms that blend retro-inspired decor with modern amenities. At the heart of the property is a 1950s Miami Modern-inspired pool. Communal spaces include Mixer Lounge and Divebar. The Mixer Lounge is a versatile venue perfect for pop-ups, events or relaxed gatherings, while Divebar invites guests to craft their drink from a self-pour beverage wall. Visitors can also savor Italian cuisine on-site at Piola, a pizzeria serving brick-oven pizzas, salads, pasta and desserts.
One of Hotel Continental’s most unique amenities is a 34-foot luxury Chris-Craft Launch, available to travelers as an add-on to their stay. Accommodating up to eight guests, the vessel is complete with a custom teak deck, a sun pad and a swim platform with a retractable swim ladder, making it ideal for intimate gatherings, scenic cruises or a relaxing day on the water. Guests can enhance their nautical excursion with a signature sunset cruise, which includes a private charter, culinary offerings prepared by the hotel’s executive chef, and a champagne breakfast in bed the following morning.
