Neos to Launch First-Ever Nonstop Flights From U.S. to Puglia

Italy’s Neos airline will launch the first-ever nonstop flights from the United States to the region of Puglia in southern Italy starting June 3, 2025. Bari, the capital of Puglia, will be the third city connected by Neos to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, in addition to Milan and Palermo. Neos began its North American operations in 2021 and also operates flights from Toronto to Milan.

The flights to Puglia will operate seasonally through October 15, using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners configured with 355 seats in two classes, premium and economy. Neos will depart from JFK every Tuesday at 4 p.m., arriving at Bari’s Karol Wojtyla Airport the following morning at 8 a.m. Flights from Bari will depart at 11:30 a.m., arriving at JFK at 1:50 p.m.

“Thanks to this new Puglia route, Neos will have a daily flight from North America to Italy with four frequencies to Milan, two to Palermo and now one to Bari, significantly increasing leisure and business travel between the two countries,” said Carlo Stradiotti, CEO of Neos.

In 2024, more than 10 million passengers flew in and out of Puglia’s airports.

“These flights are a response to our belief that the United States is one of the most promising tourism sources for Puglia,” says Aldo Patruno, director of the Puglia Region’s Tourism Department, “characterized by high-spending visitors and a burgeoning interest in Puglia’s distinctive history, culture, traditions, food and wine.”

Neos is a subsidiary of Alpitour World, one of Italy’s largest and fastest-growing conglomerates specializing in tourism and transportation.
